What "Fractional" Actually Means
Fractional is not part-time. It is full ownership of a narrow scope, for a fixed window, with a clean handoff.
The word "fractional" gets used loosely. Here is the working definition we operate under.
Full ownership. One person accountable for the outcome — not a pod, not a shared Slack channel.
Narrow scope. Pipeline generation, or pricing, or onboarding. Not all three.
Fixed window. Eight to twelve weeks. Long enough to ship a system, short enough to stay honest.
Clean handoff. Documented, transferable, and runnable by a junior hire on day one.
